About our Home

We are set in picturesque grounds just five miles from the small market town of Church Stretton, also known as “Little Switzerland”. Our Home is in an area of ‘outstanding natural beauty’ and therefore boasts some wonderful views. The building used to be a hotel but it was restored and refurbished and re-opened in 2008 as one of six Morris Care Nursing Homes.

We have 50 elegantly decorated bedrooms, a cinema room, vintage tea room, relaxing lounges and beautiful views of the Shropshire countryside.

Social Wellbeing

Social wellbeing plays a huge part in the care we provide at Stretton Hall. Our enthusiastic and committed Social Life Coordinator, Issy, dedicates her time to ensuring we have a diverse and exciting activity schedule for our residents and visitors to enjoy. From visits to the local Yew Tree Pub and in-house ‘Ritz inspired’ afternoon teas, to visits from lambs at Easter and regular creative visitors including bell ringers and singers, we have something for everyone to get involved with! Social interaction and activities like these are all aimed at stimulating the mind, combatting loneliness and unlocking residents’ fond memories.

Issy: “Seeing residents and relatives smile is what it’s all about for me. I’ve seen first-hand the positive impact activities have for our less mobile residents and I will go that extra mile to ensure they are having a good time here! I’m always trying to do something different and put on some really exciting events including the wider community but sometimes, just some simple flower arranging is what the residents want to do that day.”

Quality of Care

What sets us apart from everyone else is the quality of our care. Our highly trained care teams go above and beyond every day to ensure our residents are well looked after and able to continue living fulfilling lives, where their dignity is respected and independence nurtured.

It’s okay to admit you need a bit of a break. In fact, we are firm believers that even a couple of days off will leave you refreshed and ready to get back to doing what you do so brilliantly.

Stretton Hall is the perfect place for just that. Whether it’s a few days off from caring for a loved one or you’re looking for quality, post-operative care to get you back on your feet, respite or convalescent care with us can be a much-needed short or long-term option.

We also provide high quality care for people living with dementia. The ‘Garden Suite’ brings to life the Morris Care Cedar Philosophy, an approach to dementia care that focuses on the individual’s wellbeing and personal needs, as well as their nursing requirements. Sensitive care for people with physical disabilities and those who are nearing end of life is also available at Stretton Hall Nursing Home.

Get In Touch

Our doors are always open if you want to discuss any particular care requirements. All our residents have their own personally tailored care plan that’s much more than just the medical details, it provides insight into their personal life and background, to ensure we get to know them on all levels.
