The Fine Dining Experience comes to Morris Care

Now that the 2017 Michelin starred restaurants have been named, our homes will be hosting their own dedicated ‘restaurant evenings’ throughout October and November giving residents, family and friends the opportunity to taste some refined flavours prepared by our Executive Chef Paul Ratcliffe.

Dining rooms will take on the persona of a Michelin starred restaurant with front of house staff and table decorations fit for a traditional Michelin star experience creating an authentic look and feel.

The evenings will commence with a welcome drink in reception where residents and guests can enjoy an informal greeting with the Manager of the home. This will be followed by a three course meal with wine.

The fine dining menu gives residents and guests a choice of three options for each course, with starters ranging from an autumnal red pepper and tomato soup to Thai style crab fish cakes. The main event includes choices from a pan-fried cannon of lamb to a chargrilled Scottish salmon fillet. For those with a sweet tooth there is a winter-warming chocolate and baileys cheesecake, and for those who favour the savoury, a continental cheeseboard.

Our residents and visitors will also have the chance to sit back and relax whilst listening to harpist Eleri Lloyd set the soundtrack to the evening with some traditional and modern classics.

These events form part of our commitment to giving our residents social activities with a difference throughout their social calendars. Each home has a dedicated Social Life Coordinator who organises a range of activities from gentle exercise classes and day trips, to entertainment within the homes and events like the restaurant evenings.
