Morris Care welcomes two new Home Managers to the family

Experienced nurses Rhea Paller and Joanne Hicks have stepped into new roles as Registered Home Managers for leading Shropshire care provider, Morris Care.

Rhea Paller has reached a new height in her career following promotion to Home Manager at Stretton Hall Nursing Home, Church Stretton.

Set in the heart of the village of All Stretton in the midst of the Shropshire Hills, the 50-bed residential nursing home provides exceptional standards of short and long term care for the elderly, with specialist care for those living with dementia, and palliative care for the terminally ill.

Rhea, who joined the Morris Care family in 2014 as an Overseas Nurse, qualified as a Nurse in the Philippines and successfully completed a second degree in International Nursing when she moved to the UK. Combined with her vast clinical experience, Rhea enjoys regular interaction with residents and their families and places high value on forming long-lasting, positive relationships.

On her new role, Rhea said: “I am thrilled to now be in the Home Manager position. Morris Care has been very supportive during my career progression and I am really looking forward to ensuring Stretton Hall continues to uphold its excellent reputation in the local community.”

Oldbury Grange, Bridgnorth, has also welcomed new Home Manager, Joanne Hicks, who has started her new role with Morris Care following the retirement of Sue Barton who managed Oldbury Grange for three years.

Joanne qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2007 and has worked in nursing homes ever since. It has always been her desire to care for and support those who are moving in to the later stages of life and for those living with dementia. From working in a hospice providing palliative care, to creating and implementing a training package for overseas nurses, Joanne has vast experience in the care industry and brings with her a fantastic work ethic with a person-centred approach to her role.

Joanne said: “Everyone at Morris Care has been so welcoming and encouraging upon my arrival at Oldbury Grange. I am excited to get to know the residents better and ensure the team at Oldbury Grange have everything they need to continue their excellent work.

“I want Oldbury Grange to be known in the area for its outstanding care and open door philosophy, we are here when anyone may need us.”

Situated just one mile from the centre of Bridgnorth, the 69-bedroom Oldbury Grange provides quality short and long term care for the elderly and those living with dementia.

Morris Care is currently recruiting for a number of roles as it looks to expand its care offer to residents. For more information visit morriscare.co.uk/careers.
