Residents have been treated to an evening of fine dining at an exclusive restaurant evening held at Morris Care's Isle Court Nursing Home in Bicton, Shrewsbury.
Residents invited friends and family to share in this special occasion and enjoy a special four course menu, prepared by Morris Care Executive Chef, Paul Ratcliffe.
The menu included canapés on arrival and mouth-watering courses which included a dessert of a rich Belgium chocolate and orange torte dressed with raspberries and a butterscotch sauce.
Residents also sat back and enjoyed the mellow tones and musical flair of a professional harpist, who serenaded guests with a selection of classical pieces.
Liz Hallen, Nurse Manager of the Isle Court Nursing Home said “We want all our residents to continue to enjoy everyday activities and this includes being able to socialise with friends and family over a lovely meal. Our restaurant evenings are very popular and allow residents to enjoy a dining experience in the comfort of the home.”
With eight care homes in Shropshire and Cheshire, each home has a dedicated Social Life Coordinator who organises a range of activities from gentle exercise classes and day trips to local attractions to live performances and entertainment in the homes.
