Our Transformation Manager, Drew Schofield, has been named in the Care Home Professional Power List 2022, which spotlights just some of the individuals who make a positive difference in the care sector with their attitude, expertise and passion.
Schofield has been recognised in the ‘Innovator in Care’ category for his leadership in what has been a challenging few years for the sector. Drew joined Morris Care in June 2020 and has led a digitalisation programme to improve many aspects of the business, which operates six nursing homes in Shropshire and Cheshire.
Over the last two years, Drew has implemented digital care plans and electronic medications, a digital governance system, time and attendance system, a new digital policy and procedures system and learning platform.
Lucy Holl CEO said “With Drew at the helm, we have been able to vastly improve the way our staff work as well as overall business efficiency which has freed up additional time for carers to spend with residents. It was an ambitious development program and we are incredibly proud of his achievements alongside this well-deserved accolade.”
Based at Morris Care’s head office at Welsh Bridge, Drew’s focus is now to implement technology that improves the wellbeing of Morris Care residents and is looking at a number of innovative approaches for the future, including the possibility of remote monitoring of residents whilst they sleep.
