Corbrook Park turns the clock back for 50s fun

Favourite foods and fabulous tunes from the 1950s brought the memories flooding back at a special party at Corbrook Park nursing home on the Shropshire, Cheshire border.

Residents turned the clock back to enjoy a nostalgic rock and roll themed musical afternoon at the home in Audlem.

Singer Sheena Beckett and musician Allan Beckett from Bond Entertainment got the party started and invited the audience to singalong. It was then time to tuck into some 1950’s inspired hotdogs, fries and milkshakes. The Dining Room was transformed into an American diner to add to the occasion.

Tracey Williams, Social Life Co-ordinator at Corbrook Park, said: “It was a lovely, fun afternoon to celebrate the 1950s, which everyone really enjoyed.

“We host different activities and events to engage people and create happy experiences because they’re so popular and benefit our residents.  It is all part of our approach to delivering quality care in a home from home environment.”

Corbrook Park provides quality care for up to 80 people, including specialist care for those living with dementia.
