Residents at our Nursing Home in All Stretton had a topping time by decorating cupcakes to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society on 13th June.
Inspired by the charity’s national ‘Cupcake Day’, residents took up the icing challenge and had lots of creative fun. Residents living with dementia also joined in by colouring in cupcake-themed bunting.
Social Life Co-Ordinator Issy Pitts said:
“We saw some inspired, colourful toppings and the cupcakes were sold in aid of Alzheimer’s Society.
Holding a variety of activities like this engages people and helps those in our care live the best life they can. This was certainly a popular activity.
Alzheimer’s Society is a cause close to our hearts because of the need for ongoing research, support services and care for people living with dementia. For that reason, we were keen to get involved with this national day. We are looking forward to next year’s already.”
