At Morris Care we value the importance of community and relationships throughout our homes and the warm bonds we share between residents. So what better way to highlight these connections than a summer BBQ involving families, friends and all our residents.
On Saturday 22nd July, we’re bringing the atmosphere of the coastal setting to Morris Care Centre for a beach themed summer BBQ. The day will be filled with activities and entertainment associated with 'a day at the beach', guaranteed to be a jam packed day containing activities to interest every member of the family. This BBQ will give residents a positive experience, to expand their friendships with other residents and their families helping us to build an ever greater sense of community within the home and amongst our residents.
The events will create summer scenes; Punch and Judy, Paddling Pools, Golden Sand and all the other necessities appreciated at the beach. Punch and Judy will give many residents the chance to revisit old memories from their childhood with their families many years ago, as well as creating new memories to cherish on the present day.
This is part of our promise to nurture social wellbeing and these positive experiences allow residents to live in a relaxed and compassionate environment, where occasions like the summer BBQ can make a resident’s day, something for them to look forward to. Furthermore, activities like this help to form a significant part of the personal care package that makes Morris Care so outstanding in the work we do.
We know that a great part of providing quality care is the high quality involvements and experiences we share between staff and residents across all our homes in Shropshire and Cheshire.
