‘Time for a Cuppa’ at Corbrook Park for Dementia UK

Dementia UK holds an annual 'Time for a Cuppa' from 1st - 8th March to help raise awareness and funds for Admiral Nurses and the amazing work they do in the community.

This is a cause very close to our hearts, especially as we appointed our very own Admiral Nurse, Julie Rogers, in 2019 alongside Dementia UK. Julie delivers expert practical, clinical and emotional support in all six of our Nursing Homes across Shropshire and Cheshire. She supports residents and their families, helps develop our dementia care strategy and boosts the skills and confidence of our staff members who provide dementia care.

With Julie and the other Admiral Nurses in mind, our Cheshire Nursing Home, Corbrook Park, held a tea party in their honour last week. Truthfully, our residents never need a reason to get together for tea and cake but it was a lovely afternoon and the money raised goes to a fantastic cause!

We were the first private care provider in our area to appoint an Admiral Nurse and we will continue to support the fantastic work carried out by over 270 Admiral Nurses across the country.
