The glory of our gardens

The smell of freshly cut grass and blossom in the spring, the spectacle of vibrant summer blooms and far-reaching views, our gardens and grounds are perfect for those who love the great outdoors.

In the winter we wrap up for brisk trips out and in the summer, we gather to relax with friends and family in the sunshine and a range of social activities.

Soul space

Our gardens are beautifully designed for gentle strolls, birdwatching, time in the sun and of course a spot of gardening. Our gardens and outdoor spaces offer so much to the health and wellbeing of residents, families and staff. They are places to spend time in the peace and calm that nature offers.

Gardening clubs

Members of our popular Gardening Clubs come together at the start of the season to plan their planting schemes to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy. Throughout the summer our raised beds and gardens are full of herbs and vegetables that add colour to our seasonal menus.

Calm gatherings

Sitting in soothing spaces with a good book, the scents of summer blooms and bees buzzing for company. Sounds good doesn't it? Our gardens are green sanctuaries where residents spend time with friends and family - maybe a coffee, afternoon tea or an evening stroll.

Winter wonders

Residents love to watch from their windows as the winter months bring new wonders. The frosts and snow transform our views and the garden birds gather hungrily on our feeders. In January we take part in the RSPB's Big Bird Count and we share stories about our rarer visitors - from squirrels to pheasants.
