Good food and friends

Our Executive Chef and his team know a thing or two about making mealtimes special. Every meal matters. Fresh seasonal ingredients, a special cake for a big birthday even a cooking demonstration to tempt the tastebuds. Dining is a time to gather with friends, invite family to enjoy delicious, beautifully presented dishes.

Delicious and nutritious

Residents can choose to eat in our elegant dining rooms with friends or guests, or in the comfort of their own rooms. Drinks and tempting snacks are served throughout the day and an alternative to the menu is always available. What could be nicer early evening than a hot drink and slice of chocolate cake.

Meet our Executive Chef

“Delicious food, well served should be a highlight in everyone’s day” Matthew Roberts says. “It’s not simply about using good quality and locally sourced ingredients, it’s the little touches that make all the difference.”

“Our residents deserve a genuine restaurant dining experience so that means serving nutritionally balanced meals that look good, taste great and are served in a way that makes dining something to look forward to each day” Matthew adds.

These are things Matthew includes in his training for the team of Head Chefs and Deputy Chefs, setting the standard across the nursing home group.

Treats for all

Mid-morning coffee and cake or maybe a splendid afternoon tea. These make for special times in our homes. Our chefs serve up delicious seasonal bakes as well as celebration cakes to share with friends and family.

We are great believers in using as many products as we can when they are in season. This is how nature intended us to eat, with the freshness and flavour at its very best. Many of our residents enjoy growing herbs in our gardens and its a treat to see our chefs sprinkling our home grown garnishes through our seasonally inspired menus.

Cafes and social dining

Many have fond memories of Morris and Company's celebrated Pride Hill cafe. Tea dances, silver services and the most delicious cakes in town. Today, we bring these memories alive with our own mini Morris Cafes where friends meet to enjoy reminiscing over a cup of tea and the chef's special of the day. Our exclusive restaurant evenings and cookery demonstrations are a highlight with residents who enjoy the atmosphere and the experience of fine dining. Wonderful occassions to socialise with friends and family.

Special diets

Every one of our residents deserves to enjoy nutritious food, tailored for their own dietary needs. Understanding the needs of residents who experience difficulties in swallowing, our chefs are specially trained to ensure pureed foods meet the latest standards on textured, modified food whilst ensuring that dishes still look and taste appetising.
