Julie Rogers Admiral Nurse

We are one of the first in our area to appoint a specialist Admiral Nurse to support people living with dementia.

Julie Rogers was appointed in 2019 in partnership with Dementia UK to give expert practical, clinical and emotional support across our six Nursing homes in Shropshire and Cheshire. She supports our residents and their families, helps develop our dementia care strategy alongside our Dementia and Social Life Lead, Alison Hearle, and boosts the skills and confidence of our workforce who are involved with residents living with dementia.

There are 271 Admiral Nurses in the UK, most work in the community for the NHS and others in nursing homes, hospitals and hospices. They receive ongoing training, development and support from the charity Dementia UK.

Julie joined us the business from Shropshire Community Health Trust and has 25 years’ nursing experience in the NHS, both in Shropshire and the Channel Islands.

She is always around our Nursing Homes, carrying out workshops, meeting with relatives and spending time with residents. If you would like to meet Julie by appointment, enquire today.
