Interview Checklist
- Be honest and be yourself
If we’ve invited you for an interview, it’s because we think you could be right for the role. All of our staff form one big extended family which you could potentially become a part of, so don’t try to be someone you’re not. - Seize the opportunity, it’s your time to shine
An interview is your one chance to make a great first impression. Show us who you really are and why you deserve the job over anyone else. You won’t have long, half an hour at most, so take advantage of sitting in front of us. - Do our Values resonate with you?
Family values are important to us and we want to employ people who can relate to them. - It’s a two way street
An interview is a great opportunity for you to get to know us too, we want you to be sure that we’re the right Company for you. Please ask us as many questions as you like. - Relate your experiences to the job role you’re applying for
We may ask if anything has happened in your life that has given you good experience for the job. Don’t shy away from telling us something from your personal life that has led you here. - Read the job description and person specification thoroughly beforehand
For the benefit of you and us, we want to make sure you know what the job role is before you come to interview. We don’t want to waste your time or ours. - It’s not a test
We may ask you to fill out a questionnaire, answer some quick fire questions or take a short assessment. Don’t panic, it isn’t make or break, it’s just another way for you to demonstrate your skills. - Do your research
Research the Company as much as possible before you come for an interview. Find out more about us and what we do. - Consider the location
Our Homes are not all in the same place, they are placed across Shropshire and Cheshire. Make sure you are aware of the location of the Home you’re applying for and consider your travel arrangements if you were to be successful.
