A message from Morris Care Chief Executive

With all the challenges and concerns that this pandemic has delivered, there have been many moments of genuine joy, a reflection of the kindness and generosity of people and of communities. Here within our Homes, I have been humbled by the dedication of my teams who have gone way above and beyond their duty to show just how much they care; of families who have been so patient and tolerant during the crisis; of individuals and groups within our communities who have rallied around us to ensure no one could ever feel forgotten.

Visiting your loved ones has been challenging and I am more than aware that a key ingredient to residents’ well-being is meeting family, albeit outside in the gardens. Whilst we were all delighted (if not a little nervous) when the new government guidance for visiting arrangements in care homes allowed limited numbers of family members back into our Homes, this does not apply to those who are currently successfully visiting their relatives outdoors. For full details of our up to date visitor protocols, please see our Friends and Family Hub. It is of course the well-being of our residents which remains centre stage for all of us. Thank you for your understanding.

A loving, sociable place to live

Our Nursing Homes are not just places to live, they are a home from home and somewhere to be comfortable and cared for. Our Care Homes across Shropshire and Cheshire enjoy being part of their local communities and take pride in their reputation for offering not only clinical excellence but warm, friendly and sociable environments where residents' health and happiness sit at the heart of the Home.

Care, Comfort and Companionship

Whilst we are all living through these difficult times, our wonderful staff have been ensuring residents are not only safe and cared for, but that they continue to enjoy the camaraderie of being part of our Home family. We have introduced ‘Befrienders’ in our homes helping your loved ones to stay in contact with you and providing additional friendly company and conversation. To find out more about the lovely activities taking place, please do visit our Facebook and Instagram pages.

We remain committed to providing the highest quality nursing care and support for residents in all our homes across Shropshire and Cheshire. If you would like a confidential conversation about a loved one who may need this help and support then please do not hesitate to contact us at 07593 447 365 or speak to our Home Managers at each of our six beautiful Homes.

Thanking our Caring Communities

Over the last three months, local businesses and community groups have gone the extra mile to help both our staff and residents within the Homes to feel supported. These true acts of kindness have lifted spirits and kept everyone going.
