A message from Morris Care Chief Executive

You will all know that the government advice has changed over the weekend to allow shielded residents to meet with one other person in an outdoor location.  We are relieved that some of you will now be able to meet with your family member in our beautiful outdoor spaces very soon.

We will be implementing a booking service to allow you to collect your family member and spend time in our gardens. We need to stick rigidly to the government advice in that only one family member will be able to meet and we will be following all the rules around social distancing which will of course present some challenges.  We will be providing further information over the next 48 hours about how to arrange a visit, so please follow the website on the friends and family portal.  Sadly we recognise that not all our residents are able to go outside and so not all of you will be able to meet up, so we will continue to support with Face Time and WhatsApp calls as much as possible.  Thank you for your patience and we hope to welcome as many of you as possible to our Homes in the near future.

WorkSAFE Temperature Detection

Here is one of our new WorkSAFE Smart Temperature Detection and Hand Sanitising Stations in action at Isle Court. Staff are testing the new technology here and at Care Centre.

The scanner uses infrared, thermal imaging to provide non-contact temperature monitoring and automatically broadcasts a voice message with the results. It even sounds an alarm if a fever is detected.
