Friday 19th June is National Care Home Open Day aimed at encouraging you to go into your local care home, connect with residents and staff, and see for yourself what your care home is really about.

We are always active in our local communities- we recently sponsored the Audlem Festival- but what’s important about the open day, is that it’s not just about finding out about care and what that home is like, but it also gives you the chance to realise that care homes are important part of your local community.

They say variety is the spice of life and we have dedicated social life co-coordinators in each of our homes as we believe that the quality care we provide should be supplemented with thriving social wellbeing.

Many of our residents are still active and enjoy meeting new people, visiting new places and learning new skills. Day to day life should be enjoyable. These activities offer the chance to mix with other residents, family and friends, as they wish, but importantly help our residents to maintain a fulfilling daily lifestyle to create new stories and continue to learn new skills.

So when you visit one of our homes you will see residents enjoying a laughter yoga session, baking or even enjoying a cream tea at one of our summer parties.
